At MA AFTER SCHOOL we aim to provide a safe and fun environment for school age children (age 5-12). While academic content is required for all grant program providers, it is the ways in which these educational components are provided to students is what really makes the difference.
We believe in providing the children at MA AFTER SCHOOL with the opportunity to choose their adventures, and while we do have daily scheduled activities and programs, we recognize that many children who attend MA AFTER SCHOOL are of the age at which they can choose what activities they take part in.
Our aim is to treat each child at MA AFTER SCHOOL with the dignity and respect they deserve, and to encourage the children to treat others with that same level of respect We run a variety of activities each day of the week. These programs include: cooking, Music, arts and crafts, animation, building blocks, and the use of a quiet reading area.
We make every effort to align students’ afterschool enrichment with their school curriculum by working closely with school leaders to ensure curricular continuity, common goals and objectives, and data sharing. This solid foundation gives them the opportunity to put wings to their dreams and develop the hero inside each of them.
Mandarin Academy believes that learning is doing. Our enrichment classes play a
vital role in encouraging children to become active members of a community of lifelong
learners.
- Mandarin Academy offers a wide variety of high quality after-school enrichment
classes. Classes are offered in fall, winter, and spring.
- Enrollment is limited in all classes and therefore early registration is strongly encouraged.
Mandarin Academy reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment
at our discretion. If Mandarin Academy cancels a class, families will receive a full refund.
There is a $10 processing fee for any schedule changes after the registration form is
submitted and a $20 fee for all returned checks. Class fees are non-refundable.
Beginning dates and scheduled class dates may vary for some of our classes due to
Mandarin Academy events.
Registration is not complete until payment is received in full. - Registration for enrichment classes is due on the Friday before the first class meeting.
